PINARELLO PRINCE FX DISC ULT Di2 Year 2022 model
I suddenly realized that I had been riding SCOTT S10 for almost 16 years. So, I visited a bike shop, Firstbikes International, closest to the company I worked for to get a new one. I decided to buy a PINARELLO PRINCE FX after talking with the shop manager and spending a couple of days to think.
At the biginning, I was to build a new bike myself, but I decided to buy a new bike. Because, I found that the technologies used for bikes had been totally renewed while I was riding SCOTT S10 peacefully for 16 years and that it would be not easy to gain the skills to build a bike by myself. I will gradually learn the technologies and skills so as to maintain the bike myself.

PINARELLO PRINCE FX with Shimano WH-R9270-C36-TL
I had planed the weight reduction of PINARELLO PRINCE FX sice last year, and emailed to the PRO shop Firstbikes International, where I bought the PINARELLO PRINCE FX, early this month。 I have had many advices this time too and have got a suticfying wheel at last!
The weight of PINARELLO PRINCE FX in defualt is 8.8[kg], which I had been feeling something dull or slow in reaction. The biggest cause was obviously the wheels. So, I wanted to change them with better ones.
The weight of the original wheels, including tires, brake discs, and the Cassette, is about 3.3+[kg] in total of the front and the rear. The weight of the new ones, including tires, brake discs, and the Cassette, is about 2.5-[kg] in total. I could reduce the weight more than 800[g] only with changing wheels! You can feel the weight difference when lift them up.
Now, the weight of PINARELLO PRINCE FX is 8.0[kg]

GIANT IGUANA === Year 2003 model (probably) ===
29 July 2002 - I bought it.
For some reason, I bought MTB suddenly although I was a road-bike rider.
I have changed some components so as to make it fit for riding on roads since I am going to use it for commuting and training.
Although, I rode the bike leaving handle-bar original for a few days, I fonud that the width was too wide for riding on roads. So, I chopped it off about 1.8" both side.
In July 2005, I gave it away to Yuri-chan who lived next door of the flat I used to live when I was in Sydney.

TREK 5200 with MAVIC HELIUM
I was hitten by a stupid car on 22 Oct. 1999. The car suddenly turned to the left to go into a petrol station, hit me, and the front wheel bent cruelly. Althought I could ride back to home, I relized that it was hopeless afterward. I ventured to buy a pair of HELIUM. Although I wanted cheeper ones, the shop I went had only expensive ones, unfortunately.

CLAMONT (Steel Frame)
I bought this bike in Nov. 1987 at a bike shop in Sydney, Australia. The maker seems to be CLAMONT. Looking at me, a clerk at the bike shop said that this was made in Japan! Well... was it true? I asked the owner of the shop to assemble equipments so that I would be able to ride across Australia. The bike was for turing; it was heavy but strong.
I sold it away in October 1999, though I was deeply attached to since I had ridden for more than 12 years.
I had changed the wheels twice. The first time was when I was riding across Australia. A spoke of the rear wheel broke every day when I was riding from Adelaide to Canberra after riding over 2000km carrying over 20kg luggage. I wanted to fix it. But there was no town. And finally, the wheel crashed. The second time was after I came back to Japan. A man at a bike shop said that the frame was a bit bent. It seemed very natural after hard riding in Australia.
